I was quoted an absolute unbelievable price of over £4000 for a new belt, New battery and some engine parts, The mechanic spoke to me like it's a normal quote 4000! He said they charge £100 an hour I mean in heywood that's taking advantage of people, I took the car to 2-3 garages and they was shocked about the invoice I was given and that they are known to charge ridiculous amounts, I took the car to a engine specialist garage and they said it doesn't need a wet belt replacement it needs a engine rebuild and a few new parts, They quoted me £1800 and these are engine specialists so it's a bit concerning that they quoted me 4000. I will never use them for anything because this shows I carnt trust them.

Hi Joe, this was over 3 months ago and you had already left us a review on Trustpilot back when it occured, not sure why it is still occupying your mind. We gave you a quote, we didn't force you to go ahead and you didn't go ahead. Below is the response we gave you back in Feb on Trustpilot... Everything seemed to be running smoothly until you were advised that some of the parts required upfront payment. There will always be back street garages that say negative things about us and state that our prices are too high but they won't carry the work out themselves. Your vehicle needed extensive repairs relating to the turbo charger and the timing belt amongst a few other things. We have never tried to hide our labour charges. We offer a dealer level service at a fraction of the cost. We don't rip anybody off, we charge premium prices for a premium service and we can guarantee you won't get our levels of service, honesty and compassion from any other garage in the North West.

Booked in with coolant leak and not starting sometimes. Found the leak but didn’t even test the battery as this was the issue for starting the car. Quoted £369 for new thermostat which is double what I got quoted at another garage after taking second opinion.
