Volksmaster In The Community
For 30 years, Volksmaster has been part of the communities we serve across Oldham, Bury, Heywood, Rochdale and Manchester. As a family-owned automotive business, we believe our responsibility extends beyond vehicle servicing and repair.
Through the Volksmaster Community Commitment, we are taking a long-term approach to corporate social responsibility (CSR), working with local charities, community organisations and other partners to create meaningful and sustainable community impact.
A Family Commitment To The Community
Our approach to community support is rooted in the values that have shaped the Volksmaster family and our business. Founder Mike McDonald believes that giving young people the right guidance, opportunities and support can make a lasting difference to their future.
This commitment is also reflected in the next generation of the Volksmaster family. Director Ryan McDonald has personally supported youth development through coaching a local football team in Oldham, reinforcing our belief that meaningful community contribution can begin with something as simple as sharing our time, experience and skills.

Our Community Priorities
As a growing community-based CSR initiative, we are taking a focused and sustainable approach rather than attempting to support every cause. Our initial priorities are:
- Youth Development
Supporting opportunities that help young people develop confidence, skills, education, aspirations and pathways towards a positive future. - Mental Health
Supporting organisations and initiatives that improve mental wellbeing, reduce isolation and strengthen community connections.
We aim to develop a focused number of meaningful, long-term partnerships where our people, resources and expertise can create genuine community value. Our approach is to listen to local needs, build trusted relationships and develop initiatives that can be sustained over time. As the programme evolves, we will continue to explore opportunities to extend our support to areas such as animal welfare, elderly care, and hospice and palliative care, where we can make a meaningful and sustainable contribution.
