May VAG News: New Tech & New Models

Here at Volksmaster, we’re all about keeping your VAG car running at its best. But we also know that dedicated VAG owners are passionate about what’s coming down the pipeline. So, let’s shift gears and take a look at the latest news that’s got us excited at Volksmaster, straight from the world of Volkswagen, Audi and the wider VAG Group.

Volkswagen: Going Big and Bold

Volkswagen Golf 2024

Firstly, Volkswagen isn’t holding back on power and presence. As mentioned last month the iconic Golf celebrates its 50th birthday this year and while there’s no word on a special edition hot hatch just yet, there’s still plenty to look forward to. The Golf Style is set to hit UK roads soon, offering a sleek and stylish design with a fuel-efficient engine (perfect for those longer journeys).

But for those who crave a bit more oomph, the news of a dedicated Volkswagen R brand pavilion opening in Wolfsburg’s Autostadt this summer is sure to get pulses racing. Expect a showcase of the latest performance offerings and a celebration of VW’s motorsport heritage.

Audi: 20+ New Models!

Audi e-tron GT EV

While the official number of 20 new models from Audi by 2025 might be slightly off (information can change as release dates approach), here’s a breakdown of what we can expect from the brand’s exciting future:Electric Expansion:

A significant portion of the new models will be electric vehicles (EVs). This includes additions to the successful e-tron family, potentially including a Q4 e-tron Sportback – a sleeker, more performance-oriented version of the Q4 e-tron SUV.

We might also see the arrival of an all-new A6 e-tron saloon, offering a luxurious and spacious electric option in the executive car segment.

Audi has hinted at high-performance electric models under the e-tron GT badge. Imagine a fully electric version of the stunning Audi R8 – electrifying performance enthusiasts!

Combustion Engine Advancements:

Audi isn’t abandoning petrol and diesel engines entirely. We can expect updates to popular models like the A4 and A5, featuring the latest engine technology for improved efficiency and performance.

The sporty S line range will likely see some exciting additions, potentially a hotter S3 or an SQ7 with even more power under the hood.

Audi has a strong tradition in luxury SUVs, and this won’t change. We might see new models like the Q9, a full-size SUV positioned above the Q7, catering to those who demand the ultimate in space and prestige.

Audi Q9 2024

Focus on Niches:

Audi is known for catering to specific customer needs. New models could fill niche segments, like a high-performance wagon version of the RS4 for those who love practicality with a punch.

There have been rumours of a luxurious all-road coupe based on the A7, potentially named the A7 Allroad Shooting Brake, offering a unique blend of style and off-road capability.

Focus on Technology:

Regardless of the powertrain, expect all new Audi models to boast cutting-edge technology. This includes advancements in autonomous driving features, offering more driver assistance and semi-autonomous capabilities.

The interiors will likely feature the next generation of Audi’s digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, known as the Virtual Cockpit and MMI. These systems will be even more user-friendly and offer advanced connectivity options, seamlessly integrating your smartphone and online services.

Remember, this is just a glimpse into the exciting future of Audi. As official release dates approach, we’ll get more details on the specific models, their features and their place in the Audi lineup. Keep an eye on Volksmaster’s website and social media for the latest updates!

Their popular SQ5 is receiving a mid-life refresh, with reports suggesting a significant power boost and some subtle design tweaks to keep it looking fresh.

Škoda: Space and Practicality Redefined

Škoda Kodiaq

Škoda continues to champion practicality and family-friendly motoring. The Škoda Kodiaq is getting a facelift, with updates expected to include a more modern infotainment system and some sharper exterior lines. But the real star of the show could be the all-new Škoda Enyaq Coupe. This stylish SUV coupe takes the practicality of the Enyaq and adds a touch of pizzazz.

SEAT and CUPRA: Performance for the Everyday Driver

SEAT and CUPRA are keeping things exciting with their focus on hot hatches and sporty crossovers. The CUPRA Leon remains a firm favourite, and there’s talk of an even hotter version potentially joining the line-up soon. Meanwhile, SEAT is expected to unveil a refreshed version of the Ibiza, their popular supermini.

New Tech Across the VAG Group

Beyond specific models, the VAG Group is making significant strides in new technology. Their efforts in autonomous driving are progressing, with reports suggesting that we could see more advanced driver-assistance features rolled out across their brands in the coming years. Additionally, there’s a strong focus on connectivity and in-car entertainment systems. Expect to see even more seamless integration of smartphones and improved infotainment options in future VAG cars.
