New Models Gearing Up for UK Roads

New Golf GTI Clubsport 2025

Volkswagen’s Powerhouse Returns: The New Golf GTI Clubsport Gearheads, rejoice! The iconic Golf GTI gets a ferocious upgrade with the all-new Clubsport. Unveiled at the Nürburgring 24-hour race, this hot hatch promises exhilarating performance.

Specific details are still under wraps, but expect a significant power boost from the previous model, potentially exceeding 300bhp. The Clubsport also boasts a sportier suspension and aerodynamic enhancements for sharper handling and a more aggressive stance. While an official release date hasn’t been announced, whispers suggest it could arrive in UK dealerships by early 2025.

Audi Q6 Takes Aim at the Premium SUV Segment Luxury car enthusiasts will be excited about Audi’s upcoming Q6. This mid-size SUV slots between the established Q5 and Q7, offering a blend of practicality and premium experience. Expect a bold design that maintains Audi’s signature elegance while incorporating a touch of sportiness.

Audi Q6

The Audi Q6 launches with a trio of distinct powertrain options. First, the Q6 Quattro boasts a 100kWh battery delivering an impressive 381 mile range. The sportier SQ6 prioritizes performance with a slightly lower 358 mile range. However, the surprise comes from the “Performance” variant that squeezes 392 miles from the same battery, offering exceptional efficiency.

All three trims (Performance, Quattro, and the top-tier S line) come in a variety of equipment packages like Sport, S line and a limited Edition 1.

The Q6 is available order now, giving drivers a new option in the competitive premium SUV market.

Škoda Octavia vRS Gets a Makeover The popular Škoda Octavia vRS is receiving a refresh for the 2025 model year. Expect a sharper exterior with revised headlights, a more prominent grille and potentially new alloy wheel designs. Inside, the cabin is likely to benefit from upgraded materials and the latest Škoda infotainment system.

Engine options should remain similar, with the 2.0-litre TSI petrol unit in various power outputs being the mainstay. The vRS has always been a favourite for its practicality and sporty performance and the 2025 update promises to keep it at the forefront of its class. A UK launch is expected sometime in early 2025.

Tech Advancements Taking Your Drive to the Next Level

Enhanced Driver Assistance Systems Across the VAG Range The VAG group is continuously innovating in driver assistance technology. Expect to see features like Traffic Jam Assist further refined, allowing for smoother semi-autonomous driving in congested conditions.

Additionally, features like Lane Departure Warning and Emergency Braking Assist are likely to be standard on a wider range of models, improving overall safety.

Improved Connectivity and Infotainment Systems The latest Volksmaster favourites are receiving upgrades to their infotainment systems. Expect faster processing speeds, larger touchscreens and enhanced voice recognition capabilities. Smartphone integration will continue to improve, allowing seamless access to your favourite apps and features on the go. Keep an eye out for new features like augmented reality navigation, which could be making its way into some models soon.

The Future of Petrol and Diesel Focus on Efficiency and Performance While electric vehicles are grabbing headlines, VAG remains committed to refining petrol and diesel engines. New technologies like improved combustion processes and advanced fuel injection systems are being developed to enhance efficiency and reduce emissions. Additionally, advancements like mild-hybrid technology are being implemented, offering a slight boost in fuel economy and responsiveness.
